A pinch-myself moment

Appearing on a panel with none other than Kate Adie, the renowned BBC correspondent and a heroine of mine, along with fellow journalists Pippa Crerar and Kayleigh Fraser. The panel, at London’s legendary Frontline Club, was to discuss The Watchdog Role: Journalism as a Check on Political Power. It was also a celebration of what it means to have been a graduate of Newcastle University and in the case of me, Kate and Kayleigh, to have North East Roots. It was incredible to see such a big turnout of graduates and to meet the next generation of female journalists from Newcastle Uni, Libby Griffiths and Jess Mooney of The Courier.
